Conn. Bridge Closed Due to Bus Fire

No one was on board when a new CT Transit bus caught fire, according to State Police. SkyCam footage shows that the vehicle is a new CTfastrak bus for the state's high speed busway project between Hartford and New Britain.

Police have closed the bridge to inbound traffic and are turning cars around, according to State Police.

Police are awaiting a sand truck to absorb some fluids and tow the bus from the scene.

No one was injured.

The bridge will be closed for several hours.
