Convict Accused of Repeating Previous Crimes in Vermont

Authorities say a Vermont man who was convicted of kidnapping and domestic assault committed the same crimes again.

Vermont State Police say a woman reported 49-year-old Harley Breer Jr. slammed her head into the center console of his truck Sept. 3. The woman told police he took her to a home in Marshfield, and she hid and called for help when he went to sleep.

Breer has pleaded not guilty to felony charges of kidnapping, domestic assault and unlawful restraint.

He is also charged with violating his probation in connection with his conviction for assaulting a woman in November 2011.
