Police are investigating reports that seven armed men forced their way into a Worcester, Massachusetts, home and pepper sprayed three adult residents during a robbery.
Police said in a statement that a 34-year-old man who lived in the home was watching television with a male relative at about 10 p.m. Monday when he heard a noise, looked at his front door and saw his wife being forced inside.
He told investigators his wife was forced to the ground and he was hit in the head with what he believes was the handle of a gun. The victims were sprayed in the face and bound.
Two children, ages 7 and 15, were home at the time but were unharmed.
The suspects made off with a small amount of cash and other valuables.
