A pizza delivery driver from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is facing an assault charge for allegedly threatening another man with a gun over a stolen $5 sandwich.
Police say Dane Maschino, wearing his Domino's uniform, drove up to a man walking along a road Wednesday and accused him of stealing the sandwich from the Domino's store earlier that day, then pulled a gun from his pants pocket.
The man fled and alerted police.
The Berkshire Eagle reports that he admitted stealing a sandwich, but didn't believe that warranted being threatened with a gun.
Police located Maschino at the pizza shop and found he had a legally owned handgun in his vehicle's glove box.
Maschino said he pulled the gun when the other man approached his car.
He was released after pleading not guilty Thursday.
