Cops: Mom With Outstanding Warrants Gave Daughter's Info

27-year-old Kristin Pelotte tried to take responsibility for her mother, Donna Heath-McGrath, who had outstanding warrants for arrest

A Maine mother and daughter are facing criminal charges after the mother allegedly gave her daughter's information to Winslow police during a traffic stop.

The Morning Sentinel reports that 27-year-old Kristin Pelotte tried to take responsibility for her mother, Donna Heath-McGrath, who had outstanding warrants for arrest.

Police say the 49-year-old Heath-McGrath was issued a summons for driving with a suspended registration April 30. She couldn't provide a driver's license to officers, and gave her daughter's information as her own.

Pelotte went to the police station to be fingerprinted. Officers then realized Pelotte wasn't Heath-McGrath.

Heath-McGrath was charged with felony aggravated forgery, criminal conspiracy and related charges. Pelotte received a summons on a criminal conspiracy charge.

Police say the women are cooperating.
