Cops Seize More Than 250 Grams of Drugs in Boston Neighborhood, 5 Arrested

Boston Police seized heroin, marijuana and more than $10,000 in cash from the Hyde Park home

More than 250 grams of heroin, six bags of marijuana and more than $10,000 in cash was seized from a home in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood after officers used a search warrant Tuesday morning, resulting in the arrests of five people, police said.

According to Boston Police, members of the department's drug control unit executed a search warrant Tuesday just after 9 a.m. for a residence near Tina Avenue and arrested five people, including a juvenile.

At the residence, police say they found three plastic bags containing 272 grams of heroin and six plastic bags containing marijuana along with $10,000 in cash.

Twenty-one-year-old Rhodrick Adino, 29-year-old Roberto Rodriguez, 37-year-old Rosa Santana-Ruiz, 37-year-old Angel Arias and a 17-year-old boy - all Hyde Park residents - were charged with trafficking more than 200 grams of a Class A drug. Police say the juvenile also faces possession with intent to distribute and Rodriguez was using a false name, which will result in more charges, including identity theft.
