Cops: Truck Driver Falls Asleep, Crashes

New Hampshire State Police say a truck driver fell asleep at the wheel on I-93N in Windham, causing a crash, spilling fuel on the highway.

The incident happened Tuesday morning around 5.

Police say the truck rolled over when the driver, 29-year-old Joseph Vachereau, fell asleep and was hit by another vehicle. This caused the diesel fuel to leak. The scene has since been cleared.

The two people in the second vehicle sustained minor injuries. They have been identified as Carnime Macri, 59, and Annemarie Macri, 57, both of Manchester. They were transported to Elliot Hospital for treatment.

Vachereau was not injured.
