Grief counselors are on hand at school, as authorities are investigating what happened to an 18-year-old girl found unconscious outdoors in freezing temperatures, apparently after leaving a party.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said the teen was found unresponsive in the driveway of a home in Everett, Massachusetts, at 6:45 a.m. Saturday.
Ryan said Sunday she is in "extremely critical" condition at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Ryan said it appears the teen had been at a nearby party where people were drinking Friday night, and may have been assaulted.
Ryan and Everett Police Chief Steven Mazzie said police are investigating the circumstances.
