A Maine couple has been arrested for allegedly stealing three cars and leading police on a high-speed chase through Monticello.
Ryan Young, 35, stole a silver GMC truck and a Ford 350 before ditching the cars for another pick-up truck, according to Maine State Police. Ashley Theriault, 27, has been identified as a passenger.
When police began following Young, he allegedly drove on the opposite side of Route 1, coming within inches of officers before crashing into another driver.
The victim in the other car suffered minor injuries.
Young faces several theft charges.
