Couple Pleads Not Guilty to Human Trafficking Charges

Fifty-year-old Feng Ling Liu and her husband, 48-year-old Jian Song, denied the charges Thursday

A Sunderland couple has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging they ran a human trafficking and prostitution ring through Massachusetts massage parlors.

Fifty-year-old Feng Ling Liu and her husband, 48-year-old Jian Song, denied the charges Thursday in Eastern Hampshire District Court. They were ordered held on $500,000 bail.

State Attorney General Maura Healey said Tuesday that authorities disbanded two alleged human trafficking operations with ties to Massachusetts and New York.

Healey's office said 10 victims were transported from New Hyde Park, New York, and New York City and trafficked for sex at Massachusetts massage parlors in Northampton, Hadley, Framingham, East Longmeadow and Agawam.

Two others face charges in connection with the alleged human trafficking operations.
