A Cape Cod woman is dead after a crash on Route 17 in Glastonbury on Friday morning.
Police said a 2005 Acura MDX with Massachusetts plates was traveling in an unknown direction on Route 17 in Glastonbury. A 2013 Buick Verano also with Massachusetts plates was traveling in an unknown direction on Route 17.
The two cars collided head-on and the operator of the Acura was transported to Hartford Hospital, while the other driver, 76-year-old Nancy Woodworth of Dennis, Massachusetts, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Route 17 in Glastonbury was closed between Hubbard and Main streets after a two-vehicle crash on Friday morning but has since reopened.
