Three people were injured when hundreds of students gathered Sunday night on the grounds of the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus to celebrate the Patriots' win in Super Bowl LIII.

A UMass spokesman told WWLP that one person suffered a head injury and two others suffered injured hands. No one was arrested.

At the University of Rhode Island, an estimated 2,500 people poured onto Butterfield Road and reportedly left behind fire dumpster fires, several overturned trash cans and uprooted stop signs.

The Providence Journal reports one person was charged in connection with a fire and no injuries were reported.
One vehicle was reportedly damaged in the blaze and officials are still investigating the fire.
