A cyclist was brought to a Boston-area hospital after he was struck by a vehicle in Wellfleet Saturday afternoon.
Around 2:16 p.m., the Wellfleet Police Department responded to reports of a bicyclist struck by a motor vehicle near Route 6, police said. When officers arrived, they saw a man in the road with injuries.
The Wellfleet, Eastham and Truro Fire Departments reportedly arrived and treated the man. He was brought by MedFlight to a Boston hospital.
Route 6 was closed for a short time, and vehicles were diverted onto Way No. 112 to keep traffic flowing, police said.
The accident is currently under investigation by the police.
