David Pastrnak to Miss 2-Plus Weeks After Injuring Thumb at Dinner Event

The Boston Bruins' top line took a surprise hit over the weekend.

Forward David Pastrnak underwent a procedure on his left thumb and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Bruins general manager Don Sweeney announced Tuesday.

Per Sweeney, Pastrnak injured this thumb this weekend after falling over at a dinner function.

Pastrnak currently leads the Bruins in goals scored (31) and points (66), so the B's need him back on the ice as soon as possible as they gear up for a playoff push.

More to come from NBC Sports Boston's Bruins Insider, Joe Haggerty.
