Connecticut state police continue to investigate the death of a 6-month-old baby in Old Lyme earlier this month, but said the case does not appear to be criminal.
State police and medical personnel responded to a home on Portland Avenue around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14 for a report of an unresponsive child and attempted rescue measures, but the child was pronounced dead at Middlesex Shoreline Clinic.
While the case does not appear to be criminal, state police said they cannot rule it out completely until all results are back.
No other details were released.
