Maine State Police say the deaths of a man and woman found in their home Thursday morning appear to be a murder-suicide.
The bodies of Virginia Hutchins, 75, and Raymond Hutchins, 65, were found in their Grand Marsh Bay home by a relative who went to check on them.
Their bodies were found on a couch.
Police recovered a handgun at the scene. Detective say that it appears that Raymond shot his wife and then shot himself.
Police say Virginia had been in poor health for some time and Raymond was her full-time caregiver.
Their bodies will be further examined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office later this week.
