Police on Cape Cod are investigating how a man drowned Thursday afternoon in Dennis, Massachusetts.
First responders were called to Mayflower Beach at about 4 p.m. after lifeguards reported bringing the 60-year-old victim to the shore.
Authorities said a police officer and a Dennis lifeguard performed CPR on the victim before he was taken to Cape Cod Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has not yet been identified.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning.
