Teen's Body Recovered From Vermont Pond

An autopsy will be conducted



    Clear the Air

    Rescuers have recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy from Curtis Pond in Vermont's Washington County following a search. 

    The body of Seamus Beall of East Calais, Vermont, was recovered early Friday. An autopsy will be conducted.

    Witnesses said Beall was a good swimmer.

    A rescue operation launched at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday following reports of a missing swimmer.

    An Uber driver charged with rape collapsed in court on Thursday morning. Darnell Booth, 36, collapsed just as he was being arraigned in Malden District Court. The judge immediately called for a recess.

    An initial attempt to locate the boy was unsuccessful. 

    With temperatures reaching the 90s on Thursday, the swimming hole was a popular destination for locals to cool off. Friends of the missing teen called police after the boy did not reappear after entering the water.
