Dog Rescued Out of Charles River

The Cambridge Fire Department is being credited for a big save on Saturday after they rescued a dog that got stuck in the Charles River.

According to the Cambridge Fire Department's Facebook page, around 3:30pm Saturday two rescue teams got into the river to save the dog who had become trapped near the Eliot Bridge. Massachusetts State Police were also on scene at the rescue.

The dog was wet and cold, but was otherwise in good health and was reunited with its owner a short time after the rescue.
