Dog on the Mend After Eating Wrist Watches

"Mocha" the Doberman is recovering at home in Salem, Mass.

Talk about a "time sensitive" news story...

This dog is recovering at home after having three wrist watches removed from her stomach.

"Mocha," the mischievous Doberman, ate the watches last week.

Her owners, Michele Parkinson and Jeff Courcelle of Salem, Massachusetts, rushed her to the MSPCA's Angell Animal Medical Center after finding her hovering over the broken pieces.

X-ray images showed leather straps, buckles, and more inside her belly. An endoscopy was performed to remove as much of the material as possible. Doctors say nature then took "its course" and she slowly rid the remaining pieces.

"Mocha" has been known to get herself into crazy predicaments. Last August, she ate a plastic juice container lid, and emergency surgery was required.

Doctors with Angell Animal Medical Center are reminding dog owners to keep anything that can fit in a dog's mouth out of sight.
