Doyle's Cafe Is Closed, But You Can Own a Piece of Its History

Among the memorabilia up for auction include signs from mayors James Curley, Marty Walsh and Kevin White

The closure of the historic bar blindsided many in Boston, but nostalgic patrons will now have an opportunity to buy a piece of Doyle's Cafe.

The legendary Jamaica Plain pub first opened in 1882 and became known for hosting politicians and celebrities. It closed last month after 137 years in service.

Memorabilia from Doyle's will go up for auction this week. The famed pictures from the walls, phone booths, bar stools, political signs and even kitchen equipment will be available for sale.

Among the memorabilia up for auction include signs from mayors James Curley, Marty Walsh and Kevin White; Presidents John F. Kennedy and Bill Clinton and plenty more.
