Boston Drawbridge Reopens After Becoming Stuck, Causing Delays

A drawbridge at the Charles River Dam in Boston was stuck Wednesday night, making the road impassible, according to authorities.

Massachusetts State Police said around 9 p.m. that there would be major delays after the bridge on Charles River Dam Road became stuck slightly upward. Police said about 30 minutes later that the bridge had reopened and regular traffic was resuming.

The bridge separates the state police barracks from the Boston Museum of Science. Charles River Dam Road runs along Route 28 between Boston and Cambridge.
