Driver Crashes Into Convenience Store in Brockton

A driver was hospitalized after crashing into a gas station and convenience store in Brockton, Massachusetts.

A car slammed through the wall of the Shell station on Belmont Street Thursday night.

Police and fire crews responded shortly after 10 p.m. They say the car was traveling down Belmont Street when it left the road, hit some debris and a tree, then crashed into the building.

One person was inside the building at the time, but no one was hurt.

The driver was taken to an area hospital. Her injuries are considered to be minor. Police said she was talking and alert when she was transported.

Two other people who were in the car transported themselves to the hospital as a precaution.

The crash remains under investigation.
