PD: Drunk Driver Crashes Into Police Transport Wagon

A Massachusetts woman is facing drunken driving charges after New Hampshire authorities say she crashed her vehicle into a police transport wagon in Manchester early Sunday morning.

Yesica Restrepo-Tobon, 35, of Boston, was issued a summons for operating under the influence of liquor and operating without a license.

Manchester police said an officer was turning onto Main Street when the transport wagon he was driving was struck by a Jeep driven by Restrepo-Tobon, who was pulling out of the Gulf Express gas station.

Authorities said because Restrepo-Tobon suddenly accelerated, the impact caused extensive damage to the police vehicle.

The vehicle is expected to be out of commission for an unknown period of time.

The two officers inside the vehicle were not hurt.

After speaking with Restrepo-Tobon, police determined that she was intoxicated and placed her into custody. She was later released is scheduled to appear in the Manchester District Court on Nov. 27.

It was not immediately known if she has an attorney.
