Drunken Man Kept Calling 911 to Complain About Being Kicked Out of Bar: Police

A drunken 50-year-old Naugatuck man was arrested over the weekend after calling 911 over and over again to complain that he was kicked out of a local bar because he was drunk, according to police.

Domingos Teixeira, 50, of Naugatuck, placed the first 911 call at 9:26 p.m. on Saturday, but hung up and didn’t answer when dispatchers kept trying to call back, police said.

When officers went to Teixeira’s house, he was drunk and upset about being kicked out of Sullivan’s Café, police said. Then, he asked the officers to arrest the owner for kicking him out.

The officers explained that they couldn’t arrest the owner for kicking Teixeira out the bar and told him that calling 911 was not the way to file a complaint.

Teixeira apparently did not listen because he called 911 at 9:41 p.m. to complain about being kicked out of the bar and again ask police to arrest the owner, according to police.

At 10:10 p.m., he called 911 again to complain that he’d been kicked out of the bar and alleged that the bar owner was harassing him, police said.

When police checked Teixeira’s phone records, they saw that he had called the bar several times, then the bar returned one of the calls, police said.

Police then reached out to the bar owner, who said Teixeira was kicked out for being intoxicated and then called several times to complain he was going to have them arrested, police said.

Police took Teixeira into custody and charged him with falsely reporting an incident.

He was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is due in court on April 6.

It's not clear if he has an attorney and no phone number is listed for Teixeira's address.
