The man accused of killing a sheriff's deputy in Maine is expected to make his initial court appearance on Monday.
John Williams will appear at the Capital Judicial Center in Augusta, Maine on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
Williams is currently detained at the Maine State Prison in Warren. A statement from the Department of Corrections described the move as a routine request by the Somerset County Jail that's undertaken when additional security precautions are needed for an inmate.
The 29-year-old is accused of killing Somerset County Cpl. Eugene Cole early Wednesday after the two had an encounter on a darkened road in Norridgewock.
A law enforcement team arrested Williams on Saturday on the fourth day of a massive manhunt in the central Maine community.
The motive for the killing is unclear.
