Elderly Woman Dies From Car Crash Injuries

Police say no charges are expected

An elderly woman from Thorndike, Maine, has died from her injuries she sustained in a two-car crash in Searsmont last week, police say.

Anne Brown, 84, was a passenger in a car driven by her 81-year-old husband, Willard Brown, who pulled out into the path of another car on Route 3 on Aug. 29.

The second vehicle was driven by 58-year-old Peter Kassen of Lincolnville. Kassen, his wife and their daughter were injured, along with the browns. The Kassen family and Willard have since been released from the hospital.

Police say no charges are expected.
