Elite Boston Marathon Runners Visit School

The students spent time before the visit to learn about Kenyan culture and come up with songs to sing for the runners

A few children in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, got a special visit from some of the elite Kenyan runners who are in the state for Monday's marathon.

Those runners, as well as past Boston champions, paid a visit to the Elmwood Elementary School.

They also attended a rally inside the gymnasium and spent time in classrooms.

Wesley Korir, 2012 champion, said it's a special event.

He said, “It's amazing, I feel so much at home. You’re honored to be here. It’s just a privilege to see the amount of work these kids do to make us feel loves, it's very appreciative.”
