Enjoy Limited Sunshine While You Still Can

Crisp, dry fall is pushing into New England and bringing the sunshine back regionwide, even breaking up a deck of clouds that briefly developed over Eastern Massachusetts Friday morning.

For southern residents, temperatures hold steady through the day, while the North Country sees temperatures rebounding to nearly 60 degrees after a chilly start in the 20s for coldest spots.

You can bet on temperatures dropping back to the 20s Friday night for colder valleys of Northern New England. You could even expect temps as low as the 30s as far south in at least some of the valleys of Northern and Central Massachusetts into Northern Connecticut and 40s farther south.

Another day of crisp fall air beneath sunshine is expected Saturday, though some clouds will build over the Green Mountains and the Canada border will see some showers by evening into night.

Sunday may dawn with a few more showers across the far North Country ahead of a cold front that will move southward slowly enough to allow for warming into the 70s for a while. That warmth can be seen in Central and Southern New England before a shifting wind drops cool air south on Sunday afternoon to evening.

Columbus Day Monday will find us beneath increased clouds and in cool air with an onshore wind. A few sprinkles or light showers can’t be ruled out depending on how much moisture moves in from the ocean.

Midweek next week brings another brief round of warmth before the chance of showers builds again by late week in the exclusive Early Warning Weather 10-day.
