    Reynold Buono

An ex-teacher at a prestigious Massachusetts private school charged with raping a former student remains behind bars until he can find a court-approved place to stay.

The Patriot Ledger reports that 72-year-old Rey Buono is currently being held on bail after a judge denied a change of bail conditions request Thursday. Federal authorities brought Buono back from Thailand last month, where he had been living for more than 30 years, after he was indicted on child rape charges.

Buono was a teacher at Milton Academy until he was fired in 1987 when the headmaster learned he was accused of sexually assaulting a student.

If Buono makes bail, the judge ordered that he supply his address to the court and be placed under electronic monitoring. He has pleaded not guilty.
