Exceptional Weekend Weather Won't Last Very Long

It’s been a well-deserved beautiful weekend across New England. Sunny skies, temperatures slightly above average, low humidity – nearly perfect.

This gorgeous stretch of weather will continue into Monday. Day time high temperatures will peak around 80 degrees for most and the overnight should cool comfortably into the 50s.

Our week does look unsettled. So far, we’ve seen a lot of rainy days during spring, but it's been below average precipitation. It appears that we will see more than just showers this week. Two days look very wet – Tuesday and Thursday.

Both days have a chance of delivering 1-to-2-inches of rain. As far as the timing, the rain moves in late Monday night and continues into early Tuesday afternoon. Thursday looks wet all day long. The day also looks cool with high temperatures only in the mid to upper 60s.

Wednesday could be the gem of the week. We catch a break in between storm systems. Skies will be sunny and temperatures will reach the low 70s.

Thursday’s storm is slow to depart and showers could continue into Friday. At this point, the weather looks to improve significantly by Friday afternoon.

Next weekend looks like a 50/50 split. Saturday is looking like the beach day. Most of the region should see sunny skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Sunday looks a bit unsettled.

At this point, don’t cancel your outdoor plans, but it might be a good idea to start think about a few back up plans. The unsettled weather looks to continue into the follow week with temperatures hold in the mid to upper 70s.
