FBI Seeking Help Identifying Man Accused of Assault

The FBI and Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey are asking for help from the public in identifying a man accused of assault.

The man is being sought in connection to an assault which occurred in the Springfield area in 2015. The FBI released a surveillance photo on its website, with the caveat that the man pictured is not accused of any wrongdoing.

“We do not want to create a sense of alarm by releasing this photo,” said Harold H. Shaw, special agent in charge, FBI Boston Division. “Our job as law enforcement is to track down any and all potential witnesses relating to criminal behavior in an ongoing investigation. We hope someone in the community has information that will help us identify him.”

The FBI asks that anyone with information to call the FBI’s Boston headquarters at 857-386-2000 or to send a tip to tips.fbi.gov.
