Fading Sunshine, Wet Weather Ahead for New England

High pressure easing east of New England allows for limited sunshine Wednesday as temperatures warm to the lower 80s, a little cooler at the south-facing shore with the wind from 15 to 20 mph. Clouds increasing as the day goes on, with showers possible in Vermont later in the day.

Low pressure coming at us from the west and the south Wednesday night and Thursday generates occasional rain, and possibly a few thunderstorms. Some parts of New England may have appreciable rain in the order of 1/2 to 1 inch. Humidity also builds, with the dewpoint close to 70 degrees.
