A fire alarm lead police to an illegal marijuana growing operation at a industrial park in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts.
Police and firefighters responded to a unit inside Westech Industrial Park for an activated fire alarm and reports of smoke coming from the building at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Firefighters didn’t find a fire, a power unit had apparently overheated, but did come across approximately 250 marijuana plants inside the unit
Police have obtained a search warrant and are currently investigation the unit. National Grid disabled power to the unit due to safety concerns.
Police say that there are no legal marijuana grow or sales operations in the town.
