New Hampshire Fire Captain Busted in Prostitution Sting

A New Hampshire fire department captain has pleaded guilty to prostitution soliciting charges after being caught in a sting operation.

Keene police say Captain Robert Diluzio, 44, plead guilty Friday to prostitution charges and was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to complete an inpatient sexual recovery treatment program.

Authorities say the sting happened July 7, when Keene police arrested a woman for placing an ad for prostitution on backpage.com, and a search of her phone allegedly showed contact with a person using a phone issued to the Keene Fire Department. Search warrants were issued, and police say the evidence collected showed the phone belonged to Diluzio.

He was eventually charged, and pled guilty to the misdemeanor charges Sept. 9.

He has to complete the treatment program by Oct. 1 or he will face a year in jail.
