Fire Chief Charged With Fraud, Larceny, Due in Court

A fire chief within the Boston Fire Department facing procurement fraud and larceny charges is due in court Tuesday

A fire chief within the Boston Fire Department facing procurement fraud and larceny charges is due in court Tuesday.

Edward Scigliano IV, 45, of Kingston, Massachusetts, was indicted by a Suffolk County Grand Jury on charges of five counts of procurement fraud and five counts of larceny over $250.

Prosecutors allege that Scigliano stole over $32,000 Boston taxpayer dollars and directed the money for his personal use in two separate instances between 2008 and 2011.

Scigliano was moved to administrative leave with no pay after the indictments were handed down.
