6 Homes Evacuated After Crews Hit High-Press Gas Line in Natick, Mass.

Six Natick, Massachusetts households were evacuated Tuesday after crews struck a high-pressure line and caused a gas leak.

Sheriff's deputies responded to 8 Carlson Circle, where the leak was reported. Crews were replacing a gas main in the street when the incident occurred.

By 9:20 a.m., evacuees were allowed to return to their homes after officials shut the gas off.

Eversource Energy checked all of the homes in the immediate area for residual gas. 

No injuries were reported.
