The garage of a 2-family home burst into flames Thursday in Attleborough, Massachusetts.
Authorities confirmed the fire broke out on Leedham Street. Police and fire crews responded.
Neighbors could hear explosions as the fire raged.
"I heard this boom," said neighbor Carol Hill. "I came down and looked out the front door, and I saw all the smoke billowing up and flames starting to come out of the house."
The fire started in the garage, but quickly spread. Investigators say gas from a car in the garage likely helped fuel the fire. Ammunition and shotgun shells may have caused the sounds.
