Boston Fire crews responded to a situation at 2 Center Plaza near Boston’s Government Center.
Boston Fire said there was an over-pressurized transformer in the garage at approximately 2:15 p.m. the building was vacant at the time when the dry chemical activated inside the transformer room.
There were no reported injuries. Eversource is on scene investigating the transformer.
This is an ongoing situation and there are no further developments at this time.
