Fire Officials Say Bellows Falls Blaze in Vermont Not Suspicious

Capt. Tom Fredriksen says investigators were called to inspect the cause of fire due to a number of arsons committed in the area within the past several months

Fire investigators say a three-alarm blaze that tore through a Bellows Falls home, Vermont, earlier this week has been deemed not suspicious although its cause is still unknown.

Capt. Tom Fredriksen says investigators were called to inspect the cause of Monday morning's fire on Green Street due to a number of arsons committed in the area within the past several months.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze around 6:04 a.m. and the flames were knocked down in about 45 minutes to an hour. The resident of the home was staying with family at the time of the fire.

No firefighters or civilians were injured in the fire

Fredriksen says there was no insurance on the home. The extent of the damage to the property is unknown.
