A fire in Hampton, New Hampshire caused significant damage to a three-story building Saturday.

The fire, which began on the top floor of the building at 13 Dover Avenue, broke out just before 3 p.m. Saturday and sent smoke billowing into the densely-populated neighborhood, officials said.

Although officials knocked it down quickly, the fire caused significant smoke and water damage. Fire officials did not find any damage to any surrounding buildings.

There was no word on any injuries.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
