Numerous tenants of an apartment complex in Springfield, Massachusetts, were displaced following a fire that broke out Thursday night.
According to necn-affiliate WWLP, the fire started in the living room of the first floor of 19-21 Salem Street.
Eight apartments had to be evacuated.
There were no injuries but one woman and two cats were rescued from the fourth floor.
The fire caused an estimated $70,000 in damage.
The cause of the fire is being investigated
