Firefighters battled a 4-alarm blaze in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood on Friday night.
The fire broke out in a 3-story building at 247 Harvard St. at 11:50 p.m.
The fire was quickly knocked down but crews remained on scene for a couple of hours dousing hot spots.
One firefighter was transported by Boston EMS to an area hospital to be treated for a shoulder injury.
Fire officials estimate damage to the building at about $500,000.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
