Rhode Island firefighters say they rescued two girls who got stranded in a bay over the weekend.
Fire officials say the girls went paddling from a beach club in North Kingstown Saturday afternoon when the wind and tide pulled them out by the Jamestown Bridge. Officials say one of the girls ended up in the water.
Firefighters responded and launched a boat to bring the girls back to Wickford Harbor. Paramedics evaluated both of the girls and found neither of them had life-threatening injuries.
