    Rhode Island Police

Further sexual assault charges have been filed against a former assistant Catholic chaplain who worked at a boy scout summer camp.

Rhode Island Police announced Wednesday that James Glawson, 74, of Exeter, is now facing eight more counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of possession of child pornography as a result of more victims coming forward.

Glawson was arrested last month for allegedly assaulting a disabled 18-year-old man and continues to be held without bail. The charges were filed today at Glawson's hearing at the Fourth Division District Court.

The former chaplain has now been charged with a total of 11 counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault, and one count of possession of child pornography.
