Ex-Pats Practice Player Arrested For Groping Women, Assault

Jimmy "JJ" Worton's contract expired Sunday

Jimmy "JJ" Worton, a former Patriots practice squad player, was arrested for groping two women and assaulting a man at Waxy O'Connors Irish Pub in Foxboro, Massachusetts, early Saturday morning.

The Foxboro Police responded to an assault at 121 Main St. around 1 A.M. Worton told the police he accidentally brushed a woman's buttocks when leaving the bar and was then forced to "defend" himself when he was confronted by the victim's boyfriend. Worton punched the male in the face, knocking him unconscious.

Two female victims were able to positively identify Worton as the male who accosted both of them by grabbing their buttocks.

Worton is being charged with two counts Indecent Assault and Battery on a Person Age 14 and Over, and one count of Assault and Battery.

Worton is scheduled to be arraigned in Wrenthem District Court.

Worton's contract expired after Sunday's game, as is the case for all practice squad players.
