The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announces it will restore the fourth lane on I-90 Eastbound at Commonwealth Avenue Bridge to the Prudential Tunnel in Boston.
According to MassDOT, crews are scheduled to complete the realignment and restriping of the lanes in that stretch of roadway next week.
On June 18, 2016, MassDOT restored the fourth lane of the westbound side of I-90 in the same stretch of roadway.
The restoration of four travel lanes comes after MassDOT completed safety upgrades by replacing the median system with a new jersey barrier system in that strretch.
