A Massachusetts man is facing drug and alcohol charges in connection with a crash that injured five people, including a New England Patriots player and his wife.

Police confirm that 25-year-old Kevin M. Conroy of Millis has been charged with possession of a Class E substance, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lane violation and possession of an open container of alcohol.

Rookie Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi and his wife Cassidy were among those injured in the three-car crash on Oct. 13 in Foxborough at the intersection of Commercial and Fisher streets.

Langi has since been discharged from a Rhode Island hospital, and was listed on the team's injury report with a back injury. His wife is still in the hospital.

Three people in another vehicle involved in the crash were taken to Norwood Hospital.

It's unclear if Conroy has an attorney or when he'll be arraigned on the charges.

"Thanks to everyone for the love and support," she tweeted. "We are both focused on recovering from this."

Harvey Langi was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent in May after going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft. The 25-year-old Brigham Young University alum has played one game this season.
