Fraud Suspect Found After Monthlong Search

Police had been searching for about a month for 44-year-old Shane Cochrane of Laconia

Police in Laconia, New Hampshire, say they've found a man who was trying to resell items to pawn shops, jewelry and hardware stores that were bought using a closed bank account.

Police had been searching for about a month for 44-year-old Shane Cochrane of Laconia. He was arrested Monday after they received a tip that he was in a vacant apartment.

Cochrane is accused of using his New Hampshire non-driver ID in the transactions, which lists his address as the state prison.

Police said Cochrane has an active felony arrest warrant from Laconia and is on parole from a previous conviction. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
