Police say a man making homemade fireworks caused a massive blast that shook an entire neighborhood in West Warwick, Rhode Island.
The man had to be taken to the hospital with serious injury to his hand after the explosion at 28 Eddy St., according to necn affiliate WJAR.
Police say they had to detonate the explosives at the home because they were too dangerous to transport.
The garage was heavily damaged in the blast.
The explosion is still under investigation.
